WE the people voted YES on prop 50. I tell myself NOT TO GET POLITICAL on the site, but damn it, one must speak up during these times!

When Texas was ordered to redistrict they obeyed the almighty command. Here in this state, we voted and we voted YES. It’s only temporary anyways. I believe it’s until 2030. It should/could get 5 more seats in congress as Democrats and that would help with voting for what needs to be done instead of just voting for whatever is being told to do…not representing their districts. Members of congress should vote for the people, but fear retaliation 

Yes, we all know the threat of bullies. I do and frankly I am sick of it. It’s scary to stand up for what you know is right! And RETALIATION is one big ass factor for sure. 

I read what Arnold ( previous governor) has said about Prop 50. He is the one that made sure the redistricting by the California Citizens Redistricting Commission INSTEAD of politicians.

Yes, I am for all that. However, in these times of lies and lawlessness WE the people voted and think we can trust our representatives in this state of what’s right. We can no longer play by the previous rules.”They don’t.” Hell, they don’t even go through the proper channels and then they sue which ties up our TAX DOLLARS and courts.

And now states are suing as they say Prop 50 is discriminatory. Isn't that a laugh coming from states that don’t even believe in DEI??? Am I watching SNL? 

BTW, I like Arnold. I even have his book which IS motivating. I always hope that I can go with him to my favorite tap room Trumer in Berkeley someday. Why? When he was governor Trumer moved a location here from Austria. He’s from Austria.. Just saying…If a town car pulls up and Arnold yells, “Lets get a bier!” I’m jumping in then I call talk to him about Prop 50. 

Have you ever used a creosote log in your fireplace? Do you have a fireplace? Many households in the neighborhood have removed them. Is it or pc? I don’t think so, it’s more like having room as our houses are small as hell. The houses in this area were built for homes during WW2.

Workers from all over came to build ships. Rosie Riveter museum is over in the marina by the ferry. The ferry that wasn’t serving any refreshments from Richmond. WTF? I sure hope they are by now. Had to take the Oakland ferry back to enjoy the ride with a refreshment. JEEZ!

Back to the log? Does it work? Various reviews said yes and no. Since we have never had a chimney sweep….usually buy one and burn it before adding one of those smelly Duraflame logs.

I am afraid to put real wood in the fireplace for that reason. I just read that the firewood should be this and that…and thinking so that small bundle I bought last year hoping to be brave and burn it, isn’t work a f*ck?

The best thing to do is to get a chimney sweep guy…but would they have to go into the garage to open that vent to clean as well? I got tons of stuff to move if that’s the case. I should though as need to covert to a LEGAL room as well. BUT that’s another story…

Recently rewatched this series. Always remember a RN telling me that series would make all RNs look bad. I think she was just paranoid.

In the beginning of the series I liked the character, but 1/2 through all the series I began to dislike her as she was such a user! BUT she was an addict. The last series has the best ER attending! I would have loved to work with him. (Played by Tony Shalhoub)

Everyone should at least watch a few episodes as that’s what is really going on out there in the health care world. Especially now with all the traitors running the show with our tax dollars.

I caught a few episodes by default on Samsung tv. The free stuff shows up first (as you know if you don’t do Firestick or Roku) They travel on motorcycles and were in France and Spain.

I was ready to board the plane, can I tell you? I was thinking is that where other series got the idea/inspiration to travel on motorcycles? 

They made starter for bread out of smelt on the coast of Spain. How romantic! They carried dough for baking from a Paris bakery on the back of their motorcycles. I’m enchanted!! 

Reminds me of my Dad. He’d say that all he ever thought about was food. I always told him he must have been French in a previous life. I’m sad to say my Dad passed away earlier this year.

I just read online that in February 2024, Dave Myers passed away after a long battle with cancer. RIP! I hope you run into my Dad out there having lunch.

Fu*king WOW. All I can say is one of the best films I’ve seen in a while.

At first I just thought….uh…ok..BUT the more I think about the film, DAMN already.

ADDED I now understand why my hairdresser ONLY takes cash and where does she go on vacation? Macau. Brilliant!!!!!

One of the best scenes I've seen awhile is  in this movie. It's at the table when he's gambling. (towards the end of the film) Seriously! Let me know what you think.

I was sucked in from the very beginning! You thought Outlander was great, this is bleepin’ brilliant! He’s been gone three years and things have changed! He was part of the red coats fighting in the revolutionary war and returns home. (I think he should have stayed in America…IF he could have. Less BS compared to England…at the time)

I’m up to season 2 and so far the story is brilliant! A man of honor and convictions! That is certainly rare these days, ‘eh?

My vote for best looking man on Netflix. Yes, over Colin Farrell!

I actually purchased this dvd about Marcella. I couldn't find it on a network I had to watch. Rancho Gordo inspired the purchase as Steve is in it.

It's a great documentary about Marcella, a home schooled  Italian chef that brought Italian cooking to America. 

Check it out to see how she roasts a chicken. Simply and Marvelous!!!!.

Checked this book out from the library. Great recipes and family stories. I love the broccoli section. Thinking about buying this one, BUT I have zero room for any more cookbooks. Seriously, but...

Please believe me!  You have to try these dry farmed Early Girl Tomatoes. 

THEY ARE THE BEST. 

Many years ago I first discovered them via Happy Girl in  a tomato workshop and was hooked forever.

They are only here for a little while, so hurry to your local farmers market or produce market. If you don't see them, ask them, then maybe they will start thinking about getting a supply. .

Please be aware when taking new perscipritons. I was recently in ER and  said to the ER doctor, "Western medicine will either cure you or kill you."

Not THAT this prescription did, but my face blew up like the nutty professor. Scared the hell out of me. 

I called the advise RN that night and was advised to take an allergy pill like Zyrtec. Did I have that? Hell no.

Other allergy meds OTC were suggested. Did I have any? Again,  hell no. The ones in the medcine cabinet were  all expired.

Can I go to ER? After midnight?  HA HA

What's open? 7/11 We call and the nicest guy said he was closing but would wait. 

In the meantime, I summoned the courage to wake up a friend a few blocks away. I say that as I know she has trouble falling asleep. 

Thank the Gods she was awake and had  a few allergy pills. And Thank the Gods for the 7/11 guy that we called back and said not to wait.

Going forward, now have a package of Zyrtec,  going to set up an instacart account and if it's a new prescription will start the first dose early in the day. 

I hope none of you EVER have to go through this.

Have to say I didn't know IF I would like it. I am hooked! I had to warm up to Captain Pike, but you gotta chuckle, when he tells them to "hit it".

Spock is a lot more human which is interesting as well.
